I thought you'd be interested. He's not a big guy, but it does show you can add mass without eating meat & dairy.

Thirty pounds of muscle in a hundred days?
I don't doubt that someone could put on thirty pounds in a hundred days, but it wouldn't be muscle.
More likely they would resemble the Michelin Tire man.

Some of us are fast-gainers. Evidence that Gawd loves some people more than others.
The rest of us are slow-gainers (read, "normal human beings").

It takes months, or years, or longer pursuing the degree of training and muscle mass and strength that is necessary to go on to significant show condition.
This isn't a young person's sport. And there are no shortcuts.

It also depends on how big you were...the famous Arthur Jones Colorado experiment with Casey Viator who put on 45 pound gain in 28 days. The unspoken rules in that were:

1/ Go off drugs before the experiment
2/ Get very, very ill & be unable to eat or drink properly for a while
3/ Obviously lay off training
[stage 2]
4/ Recover
5/ Go to see Arthur Jones, start training
6/ Sort out your diet & get eating & drinking
7/ Ramp up the drugs
8/ Oh yea be a genetic freak as well

There you go 45 pounds in 28 days Very Happy

They seem to have failed to mention the above? It did sell a lot of Nautilus machines though Very Happy

So, you could put on a fare bit of mass if you used to be bigger & you revamp your training & diet to hit that old size & you can often do it fairly quickly. Depends how big this guy was in the past? New muscle though...no not likely.

It's really useful video.The muscles though, do provide a metabolic boost during rest in the recovery of exercise.
