Vegan Bodybuilding has had a lot of contact with Jack Norris over the years, he's always come across as a decent bloke who has pretty reasonable views about diet. Although he hasn't had time to get as involved as we'd like with our group due to being super busy I just found this presentation by him. I haven't watched it yet as I found it pretty late this evening & will be in bed well before the hours length of this program, but I'll try & view it over the next few days. In the meantime maybe 1 or 2 of you could give it a view & give us your thoughts on it? Before you start remember it's on for an hour, so settle down with a few snacks & a hot drink & (hopefully) enjoy the show Very Happy

I just finished watching the presentation. There's not really that much new for us here. Take B12, take a D vit, get EFA's - Jack has reached the same conclusion as me, taking algae form DHA seems worth doing as a safe guard as well as ALA from flax, walnuts or similar. He also shares similar views about protein intake to me (I'm not a ultra-low protein intake supporter). He didn't attack the common myth of soya feminising (I was waiting for that), but apart from that it was pretty good. I did like the research that pointed away from protein (any protein) causing osteoporosis as I'd not seen that before & something I'll have to look into & see what's new in that area as it seems the ideas between animal protein & thinning bones might well be wrong (but not the increased calcium excretion - protein appears to enhance calcium absorption so balance out the losses)?
Anyway that's my take home points about the presentation - worth seeing if you're confused about nutrition, then come back here for some fine tuning if you need to Very Happy
